The Hazaribag municipal corporation has given the responsibility of regular supply of the drinking water to Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company Limited (JUIDCO) through the PMC (Project Management Contract).
Project manager of JUIDCO Binay Kumar said after a meeting that out of 11 water tanks, five have been completed. Remaining water tanks will be ready within three months. After the completion of all water tanks, a huge quantity of water from Chadwa Dam and Hazaribag Lake can be reserved in the water tanks.
In the meeting Town commissioner Prerna Dixit said that the contracted company issues the water connection to every house, which has paid the holding tax to the corporation.
She has requested all residents under Hazaribag Municipal Corporation to pay the holding tax on time. Those who have not yet got the holding number; they immediately apply for the holding number.
She further said that the corporation is running into a financial crisis now -a -days. The resident must pay all types of tax and the crisis can be resolved.
She assured the residents of the Municipal Corporation if they will pay tax on time then there will be no problem with regular supply of drinking water.
