Hillock's oozing water mystery continues to grip Palamu

The mystery of oozing out of two inch thick flow of water from a hillock in Palamu’s Ramgarh police station since July 18/19 continues to remain unsolved. On Monday the flow of water has further thinned down

The latest to do the rounds is that a severe lightning took place in this hillock area on July 17 and 18. It is said lightning struck a tree on this hillock. The severity of lightning was such that it caused a cleavage in the hillock putting a huge slab of hillock into two separate rocks.

The heavy rains that poured in entered the divide of the two rocks of this hillock and when the accumulated rain water pressured the rocks it caused disturbances leading to the flow of the same huge stored rain water.

The DIG police Saket K Singh said ‘ I have no authority to accept or reject this probable theory of water oozing out from the hillock’.

Asked if hill mafia who are desperate to have boulders/stones from such unprotected hill/hillocks here in Palamu may go for further destroying it the DIG said police would take firm steps against any such move.

As for the reported landslide there is no evidence since in land slide comes slush and heavy stones from the hillock but this hillock is not that disintegrated.
