A two-day Art Fest organised by Hill Top School here on Friday and Saturday was a window to the creativity of the children in various art and craft forms.

Every visitor to the festival organised on the campus was awestruck with the creativity and latent talent of children, honed a little bit by their teachers. Different artifacts and other exhibits there were prepared by the students then and there purely with the naturally available materials.

Events like rangoli, mehandi, calligraphy, collage, T-shirt painting, floral and salad decoration was organised during the festival. “We are being taught various and arts and craft forms in our schools not only to give a vent to our creativity but to know our rich heritage and culture”, several children engaged in making the exhibits said.

“It’s a part of curriculum in our schools to teach various folk art forms to pass on the rich culture and heritage of the area to the coming generations”, said Puneeta Chouhan, principal of Hill Top School.
