Mum’s Day is celebrated each year at Hill Top School for the mothers of nursery students to build a strong bond between parents and the school. It is also an opportunity to help mothers receive some tips on good parenting from expert counsellors.
Mum’s Day Programme began with a warm welcome by one of Hill Top School’s primary teachers, Tanuja which was followed by a prayer Song by Moushmi Dasgupta, parent.Indra Kaur, primary coordinator at Hill Top School then spoke to the mothers of the students. She briefed them about the school’s requirements for a good collaboration between parents and the school. This was followed by a session by Hill Top School counsellors Vibha Mirajgaoker and Aditi Kharkededkar which encouraged and enlightened the parents
A lovely Group Song Jeele Zara was sung by Poonam Singh, (Mother of Anshita Singh, Nursery Vanilla), Seema Singh, (Mother of Avish Ashray, Nursery Vanilla), Archana Singh, (Mother of Arnav Singh, Nursery Chocolate) Nisha Yadav, (Mother of Amit Kumar Yadav, Nursery Chocolate) Moushmi Dasgupta (Mother of Mayurika Sahu, Nursery Strawberry) and Ritu Kumari (Mother of Ayushman Kashyap, Nursery Pineapple).
A beautiful Group Dance by Moushmi Dasgupta and Ritu Kumari followed. A few competitions were organised for the mothers of nursery children. They were as follows Umbrella Decoration Flower Decoration T– Shirt Painting, Magic Of Thermocol Crokery And Photo Frame Making Umbrella Decoration.
First prize was won by Rekha Tiwari, mother of Rudra Tiwari, Nursery Strawberry, 2nd Prize winner was Nitu Singh, mother of Atharv Singh, Nursery Chocolate. In Flower Decoration 1st Prize was won by Aparna Sarkar, mother of Tanisha Sarkar, Nursery Strawberry 2nd Prize by Shweta Singh, mother of Abhinaw Singh, Nursery Chocolate. In the T–Shirt Painting competition, 1st Prize was given to Priyanka Patil, mother of Dhriti Patil, Nursery Vanilla 2nd Prize to labani Chanda Sarkar, mother of Rajanya Sarkar, Nusery Chocolate and in the Magic Of Thermocol Crokery 1st Prize was won by Nutan Kumari, mother of Arushi Kumari, Nursery Chocolate and 2nd Prize was given to Anjana Arya, Mother of Nishant Arya, Nursery Butterscotch.
