Beautiful and colourful tableaus every year attract denizens from across the state at Republic Day Parade at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi.

This year again two themes have been selected by the department of Art and Culture to make denizens aware about the rich legacy of state art, culture and tradition. “Two themes which include Navranta Garh, a heritage building located in Gumla which have been also accredited by Archeological Survey of India and Tilaiya Garh situated in Sahibganj have been selected for Republic Day 2016. The motto behind this is to promote lost heritage buildings and to develop these places as tourist destinations,” informed Director Arts and Culture Department, Anil Kumar Singh.

Citing details about the tender procedure Singh further added, “The tender is out and accordingly all artists have been required to present their models. Till January 13, all the interested participants must submit their designs and concepts.”

Those artists having adequate experience in both designing and fabrication are required to submit minimum two Concepts or sketches with a concept note for each theme highlighting different aspects of the designs.
