Former Chief Minister and JMM MlA from Barhat Hemant Soren has described the situation in Balumath as 'controlled'. Speaking to The Pioneer, Hemant reiterated that the situation is now controlled. Soren said he had spoken to SP latehar Anoop Birtharey also.
However, Hemant did not rule out any such aberration saying the incident in Balumath is not an accidental death but a gory murder and the mind of man is very volatile and so no one can predict there may not be aberration again. Soren reminded ‘Insani deemag mein shararat hai'.
On being asked if this tragic incident was a spur-of-the-moment madness or seizure of mental faculty, Hemant said, “I do not think so. I am told there when I called upon the two families of Mazloom and the of the 12-year-old child that minority members here were being made to feel insecured since long.”
Hemant wanted security environment in Balumath to be further fine tuned in. He said he met SP latehar Anoop Birtharey and discussed the issue with him.
Hemant Soren said, “Minority community has told me that someone tried to finger at one’s beard earlier. It too was unwholesome.” The statement of Hemant Soren could not be ascertained by The Pioneer.
The former Chief Minister demanded that State Government extend all financial help to these two victim families which have lost their sole bread earners and now these two families are but to languish only.
Hemant Soren said that he heard of CM's one lakh relief to each of the two as he continued “When I was going out to these two families I saw DC latehar and other officials coming from opposite direction.”
However, a police source told The Pioneer that some weeks back some youths of this minority community were arrested for gang-raping a girl of other community and the incident was etched painfully in the minds of the majority community too. The chasm between the two communities remained since long, said the police source.
