Chief Minister Hemant Soren in order to strengthen the economic conditions of the farmers has directed the forest officials to do value additions in the products obtained from the forests and prepare a business model for them.
Soren also directed the officials to plant trees that cane generate income in each and every hillock in the area and get more crops from them. Soren was speaking in Dumka during a meeting with the divisional officers on Tuesday. Soren also asked the DFO to plant trees besides roads which do have trees along with them. The municipal officials were also directed by Soren to take extra care of cleanliness of the area.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Divisional Forest Officer, Executive Officer of Municipal Corporation and other officials of the district.
