In an attempt to save its bastion in Santhal Paragana, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Executive president and former Chief Minister of the State Hemant Soren is aggressively campaigning for the party candidates. The former CM on Thursday held eight public meeting along with several street meetings.
Soren started his public meeting from Hiranpur in Pakur district under Rajmahal constituency and campaigned for the party candidate Vijay Hansdak and completed his campaigned at Masalia in Dumka district under Dumka constituency.
Addressing a public meeting at Hiranpur , Soren said that Jharkhand can’t br developed by BJP and the Chief Minister migrated from Chhattisgarh can’t be worried for development of the State. It is government of rich and businessmen, he added.
“The local people of the State exist on water, forest and land and if land slips from their hand then they will lose livelihood. BJP government is anti tribal, that is why we have to remove Narendra Modi and bring Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister of the Country. We have taught them a lesson in election of 2014 but this year we will force them to run away from the area,” said Soren.
Speaking about election preparations Soren said that all the party workers and leaders are campaigning across Dumka and Rajmahal, visiting villages and meeting with people carrying on door-to-door campaign explaining BJP’s misdeeds and false promises. “Santhal is a stronghold of JMM and we will put our all energy to win both seats along with Godda,” he added.
The party had won two parliamentary seats against strong Modi wave in 2014 in the area. The party president Shibu Soren won from Dumka seat and Vijay Hansdak won from Rajmahal seat on the party symbol. To ensure victory of the party candidates Hemant Soren is holding meeting in remote areas of the seats as BJP is posing tough contest for the seats and held numerous public meeting of its star campaigner including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
