Hemant: People awaiting right time to respond

lead of Opposition party in the State Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) while lashing out at the incumbent Government for its ‘misdeeds’, said that people of Jharkhand and the party were waiting for opportune time to give a befitting reply to the ruling BJP.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday when the BJP-led dispensation under Chief Minister Raghubar Das completes its three years of stay in the office, leader of Opposition Hemant Soren went all out targeting the Government.

“I am unable to understand what reply should I give to the falsehood being spread by the Government through advertisements in the media. Over 8 per cent growth rate is not new for the State. How many poor women have been able to purchase land under Re 1 registry schemeIJ Women employed with anganwadi are working on a pitiable sum.

They have made all outsiders locals who have snatched away the jobs. Situation here is pathetic but I would remind that Jharkhand has been a product of revolution and masses in the State would not remain sleepy but possess sufficient arsenals to give this kind of mis-governance a fitting reply when the right time approaches,” said the former Chief Minister in his scathing attack.

He, while questioning organisation of Momentum Jharkhand meant to invite investors in the State, alleged the Government for over expenditure in the form of event management. “Crores have been spent for getting the migratory Chief Minister’s face published on posters, hoardings and newspapers. Reports coming out after Momentum Jharkhand say that his guests had dinners and lunches of Rs 1.75 crore in just two days! Whereas companies like Tata Power, Reliance and others opted out from the State. That means the CM has turned himself into a poster boy at the cost of public exchequer,” said Soren.

The JMM’s executive president also cited status of malnutrition, anemia among children and women along with growing per capita debt in the State along with rising crime chart to drive home his point. He also questioned the decision withholding expansion of full Cabinet ever since the Government came into power in 2015.

“They are celebrating every occasion but not able to answer why five Mining Secretaries have been replaced so far. Is negating full Cabinet not a political corruptionIJ I feel the CM is conniving with mining mafias,” alleged the JMM leader and also took a jibe at Das’ reported utterance in the House during the Winter Session.

Concluding his tirade, Soren charged the Government of facilitating scams such as Momentum Jharkhand, land allocation, mining and tent and also the CM for acting like a middleman brokering deals for corporates for the sake of Jharkhand’s land and precious resources.
