RJD chief lalu Prasad, presently undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), patted Opposition leader Hemant Soren for uniting all anti-BJP parties to give “a befitting defeat” to the “communal forces” in the upcoming by-elections in Gomia and Silli.
“The unity of Opposition parties should not get scattered at any cost,” he maintained.
Soren called on the RJD chief at RIMS on Thursday along with senior Congress leader Alamgir Alam and JVM General Secretary Bandhu Tirkey to inform him about decision of the Opposition parties to extend their support to the JMM against the BJP for the upcoming by-elections in the State. Expressing concern over the health conditions of Prasad, Soren demanded that he must be shifted to a higher institution for better treatment.
“Condition of the RJD chief is still not very well and has been undergoing treatment as per the facilities provided by the State Government. If his condition still does not improve, the State Government must think seriously about keeping him in RIMS,” said Soren. Government’s decision to get him treated in RIMS is still not understandable and has become a topic of discussion all over the country, he added.
Referring to the reasons behind calling on the RJD chief at RIMS, Soren said that he had come to inform him on the recent political developments in the State where all opposition parties have decided to contest the Gomia and Silli by-elections together and have also reached over a consensus of supporting JMM candidates on both the seats.
“The RJD chief praised the decision of Opposition parties to get on a common platform to give befitting defeat to the BJP in the two by-polls and said that the opposition unity should never get scattered at any cost so that a befitting reply to this government of conspirators be given,” Soren said.
later in the evening, a health bulletin was released by RIMS Director RK Srivastava who said that the reports given by the medical board suggests that condition of the RJD chief was quite stable.
“Barring abnormal hemoglobin and uric acid count, other reports are more or less normal for which he is being given medicines by a team of medical experts constituted by the RIMS administration,” said Srivastava. Prasad’s Hemoglobin count has been found to be 10.2 while uric acid was found to be 7.1, which may lead to joint pain, he added.
Srivastava further added that the RJD chief was being treated as per the guidelines of AIIMS but his fluctuating sugar level was a cause of concern for them for which insulin doze was being tight rated. Srivastava, however, said that the investigation reports suggested a remarkable improvement in health conditions of Prasad.
“Other parameters like pulse rate, blood pressure, TDl, PSA, lipid profile, urea, creatinine and liver profile were found to be near normal,” said the RIMS Director. A medical board will sit again after 2-3 days to look into the health conditions of the RJD boss on the basis of which a decision will be taken.
