A Heavy truck turned turtle near Chandrapura today afternoon injuring one motorist of Bhandaridih area of Phusro.
According to police on Friday, a heavy truck turned turtle while speeding towards the Phusro suburban station of Bermo. The accident, which took place right on Chanderpura-Phusro at Rajabera bridge, left an identified motorcyclist Mahesh Yadav seriously injured after the truck apparently collapsed on him.
Local residents tried to set upright the truck that turned turtle in near Rajabera bridge in the Phusro suburb of Bermo, said Inspector K.K.Sahu of Bermo police station.
The motorist identified as Mahesh Yadav was brought serious injured to DVC hospital, Chanderpura,while his treatment is going on.
The accident happened at around 2 pm when heavy truck which was transporting goods from Chanderpura to Phusro via the Rajabera bridge, tilted while in motion.
An investigation will be conducted to know the precise reason behind this accident,” said the Officer-in Charge.
The prima facie evidence suggests that the cause of the accident could have been over- speeding. Road traffic towards Chanderpura and Phusro was severely affected due to the accident.
