The 70th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the district with thousands of people gathered at the flag hoisting venue at Govind Inter College grounds.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi hoisted the tricolour flag and accepted the guard of honour from police personnel, CRPF troops, school children and National Cadet Corps.
Speaking on the occasion Minister said that the development of the State is progressing rapidly in tenure of BJP government.
Various public welfare schemes are being run by the Central and State Government and Jharkhand is progressing on the path of development.
Chandravanshi further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself came here and laid a foundation stone of Rs 1179 crore. “The construction of AIIMS in the state has begun and work to open five medical colleges in the state is in progress,” he said.
