The Regional Deputy Director of Health Department Ramratan Singh has started an inquiry in Sadar Hospital. Talking to The Pioneer, Singh informed that Director Health Services has directed him to inquire the process of purchase of medicines and equipments by the fund allotted by the government during last fiscal year.

last year the Government had allotted Rs. 3 crores for the purchase of medicines and equipments to Civil Surgeon Hazaribagh. It seems that headquarter has got some complains of irregularities in this purchase. RDD Health also informed that similar instruction has been issued to all the Deputy Directors. He said that after Hazaribagh he will go to Koderma, Chatra, Ramgarh, Giridih and Bokaro districts to enquire.

On Monday, when RDD Health Ramratan Singh and his team came to Sadar Hospital and entered into the CS Chamber suddenly the news spread like wildfire in the campus. Singh asked the CS that whether they have purchased branded medicines and equipments or not.

Then the team started demanding files and bills related with the purchase of medicines and equipments during last fiscal year. Panic on the faces of staffs was easily observable at that time.

The team went through the files given to them and instructed the staffs to make available the rest files, bills and papers by Wednesday.

On Tuesday Singh and his teammates carried on physical observation of the godown, storeroom and the fitted instruments. In the evening RDD Health said to the Pioneer that we are still waiting for the papers and files. Today we have made some queries and asked for the related documents.

The enquiry is going on and it is expected to be finished after 2-3 days. The Civil Surgeon of Hazaribagh Dr. Vinay Kumar, ACMO Sanjay Jaiswal and Deputy Superintendant SR Dangi are helping the team and are also trying to satisfy the team members with their replies on queries.
