When I got the news of the demise of political warrior and symbol of struggle Jagarnath da this morning, I was speechless as well as heartbroken. Jagarnath da was in the role of a minister in this government as well as my elder brother and a guardian who used to scold and sometimes pat on the back when mistakes were made. Jagarnath da, popularly known as Tiger, made his special and distinct identity due to his struggle, devotion to duty, simplicity, and clarity of thoughts,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren in his condolence message.
“I learned a lot from his determination to achieve the set goals at all costs. Many times in difficult circumstances, his advice, thoughts and encouragement gave courage and spirit to fight,” he added.
“Jagarnath da was not called Tiger without any reason. Despite being seriously ill during the Corona period, he fought a long battle with destiny and proved his Tiger by winning. Ultimately, what was destined to happen happened,” said the JMM executive president.
“It is not possible to make up for the lack of personality like Jagarnath da. His absence will last a lifetime. His teachings, his guidance and his blessings will show me the way forward. During his ministership, Jagarnath da took some such decisions in the education department which Jharkhand will always remember. Realizing the thinking of Jagarnath da, the outspoken warrior of separate Jharkhand and fulfilling his resolutions would be a true tribute to him. Our government and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha family will remain determined to make his vision and idea a reality until it is achieved,” he added.
“The emptiness that was felt at the time of the death of my elder brother Durga Soren ji is being felt today. May God give place to the departed soul in his holy feet and give courage and strength to his family and supporters to handle themselves in this grief, this is my prayer. Jagarnath da will remain immortal because his thoughts, principles and guidance will always show direction to our government and our party,” he said.
