HC vacates stay on JPSC recruitment

The Jharkhand High Court on Friday vacated its interim order directing stay on appointment of selected candidates through 5th Combined Civil Services examination conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission thus disposing the petition that alleged large-scale irregularities in the recruitment process.

A division bench of Chief Justice Virender Singh and Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, in its order, said that there was an absence of foundational facts in the writ petition and the fact that the petitioner has failed to disclose the irregularities committed during evaluation of the OMR Answer Sheets turns out against the petitioner.“Few mistakes even if committed during evaluation of OMR answer-sheets would not be sufficient to invite indulgence of the Court in the present proceeding.
