The Jharkhand HC, while hearing a contempt case related to the construction of sewerage and drainage system in the State capital, has asked City Commissioner and Urban Development Secretary to be present in the court on August 28. The court has also asked them to bring detailed project report of the project.
“The court has asked the two officials to be present in the court on August 28 along with the DPR of sewerage drainage system as well as Harmu River Renovation Project,” said AAG Jaiprakash.
“`302 crore had been approved by the Cabinet for the construction of sewerage drainage in the first phase, but the tender of `359 crore has been finalised. A Cabinet approval is to be taken again,” said Jaiprakash. The file will soon be sent for cabinet approval, added the AAG.
A contempt case was filed in the HC after no progress in construction of sewerage and drainage was visible on ground.
