Jharkhand High Court has asked the Tourism Secretary to provide the details what civic amenities could be provided at the tourist spots near Ranchi. The court was hearing a PIl filed by one Bablu Kumar alleging lack of civic amenities at the tourist spots in Jharkhand despite huge sums of money released from the centre. Tourism secretary Sajal Chakravarty was in the court following summons issued against him to appear physically in the court.
“We have been asked to submit in bullet points that what civil amenities could be provided by the department at the tourist spots in the state and how much time will be taken for that,” said advocate Sumit Gadodia appearing on behalf of the government. “An assurance was also given by the Secretary that all the civic amenities will be provided by the department,” he added.
Appearing physically in the Court of Justice DN Patel and Justice PP Bhatt, Tourism Secretary Sajal Chakravarty expressed inability to do so as 13 secretaries have been changed in the last 3 years.
