Much to the disappointment of state government, the Jharkhand High court on Tuesday rejected a review petition filed by the state government against the court’s judgment to reinstate the youth commission headed by Chandrabhushan.
The court of Justice Apresh Singh also issued notices to the Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Secretary and IT Secretary in a contempt case filed by Chandrabhushan in the matter.
“The review petition filed by the State government was rejected saying there was no merit in it,” said Chandrabhushan’s Counsel. Notices have also been issued to the secretaries NN Sinha and Vandana Dalel asking them to file reply till November 22, he added. The commission, appointed by the then CM Arjun Munda was dissolved by Governor Syed Ahmed soon after the BJP government came into minority followed by the withdrawal of support by the JMM and President Rule was imposed in the state.
