The Jharkhand High Court, while hearing a PIl filed by ‘Adhivakta lipik Sangh’ demanding welfare schemes for them, asked verbally to State law Secretary why he should not be sent to jail from the Court itself for giving wrong statement.
Expressing displeasure over the statement given by the law Secretary in the Court that he did not have the information in this regard, the division bench of Chief Justice PK Mohanty and Justice Ananda Sen said that it was wrong on his part to say that he was not informed in this regard despite the fact that the court had told him to prepare a lawful scheme for them.
