The High Court on Friday quashed a lower court order directing former chief secretary (CS) of Bihar Vijay Shankar Dubey to face prosecution in Fodder Scam case related to fraudulent withdrawal of money from Dumka treasury.
The order was delivered by Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh. Dr Ashok Kumar Singh who argued the case of former CS stated the special court for CBI cases had directed Dubey to appear before the court on March 23 2018 and face prosecution in the fodder scam case. He added the former CS had challenged the order in the HC. Dr Singh said they argued before court that 245 witnesses and 368 documents produced before the lower court during the trail did not mention Dubey as conspirator in the case. He added that CBI had praised the role of Dubey in exposing the fodder scam. The HC had earlier stayed the lower court order.
