The election process in Hazaribagh district started today as the notification of election for the third phase of poll in the State was issued. Nomination process has started in all the five Assembly segments of Hazaribagh district. On the first day 26 candidates purchased the nomination papers.
It was informed by the Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh Sunil Kumar in a press meet on Friday evening. He said that nomination process has started in all five assembly segments of Hazaribagh district. The last date of nomination is 21st November. On 22nd scrutiny of papers will be done and candidates can withdraw their names by 24th November.
DC said that training to all the election personal through the power point presentation is going on. About twenty thousand employees will be engaged in the election. We have made the arrangement for live telecast on 114 booths. We have also marked 151 booths as model booths in forthcoming election, he added.
DC Sunil Kumar and SP Akhilesh Jha informed that first time we have formed ten women’s booths. They said that 293 arms have already deposited by the arms holders. Execution of 506 non-bailable warrants has started. The district administration has issued the toll free number (1800-345-6558) for election. Any person can lodge complain through this toll free number. The administration has lodged 25 cases of violation of code of conduct.
DC Sunil Kumar said that no nomination has been filed on the first day in all five assembly segments of Hazaribagh district. He also informed that 19 static teams have been formed to check the movement of vehicles through different check posts. We have also formed clusters for forthcoming election.
In the press meet DDC, Roy Mahipat Rai, Sadar returning officer Sandeep Kumar; Additional Collector cum returning officer of Barkagaon assembly Ranjan Choudhary and lRDC Sudhir Gupta were present.
