The Hazaribagh police have nabbed two bank dacoits who had looted the Allahabad bank branch of Ichak block about a week ago. SP Anup Birthare said that six miscreants had looted the bank, two have been nabbed and soon rest four will also be behind the bars.Talking to newsmen SP Birthare said that on the basis of CCTV footage we nabbed Ravindra Kumar Verma alias Ravindra Soni, a resident of Chainpur Ghato of Ramgarh district and then arrested Md. Shamim, a resident of Rasoiadhamna village of Barhi sub-division. Police has recovered Rs 2.40 lakhs from them and has seized two revolvers, some cartridges and the cloth they were wearing during the bank loot.
In this bank dacoity six miscreants had looted more than Rs 21 lakhs on gun point from the branch and had fled on bikes. The miscreants had taken away the router of the bank branch instead of taking away the data recorder of the CCTV camera. It proved fatal for them and helped police to nab them.
