Hazaribagh police have arrested the area commander of TPC (Tritiya Prastuti Committee) Dayanand Ji alias Ram Chander Ganjhu alias Ramu Ganjhu from his residence situated in village Candol- Pundol of Barkagaon block of the district on Tuesday night. He stands accused in many cases lodged in different police stations of Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Chatra and latehar districts and police had announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for his arrest.
SP Hazaribagh Akhilesh Jha in a Press conference on Wednesday evening said, “After being harassed by the money lenders of the village he had joined the left ultra group MCC first in which he worked under Krishna Yadav. After that he left the MCC and joined as area commander of JPC (Jharkhand Prastuti Committee). He was an active and confidential member of the JPC, but after the death of JPC supreme Guddu Ganjhu, he joined TPC,” the SP said.
He said that Ganjhu is one of the members of TPC, who is on the hit list of JPC. His wife Bindiya Devi is Mukhiya of Chandol panchayat of Barkagaon block.
SP further said that he has given some important information of present and previous organisation in which he had worked and police is now going ahead to nab others on the basis information gathered from him.
On the other hand our Barkagaon source has informed that Ganjhu had arrived to collect levy amount from different organisations working in the area and persons working for the companies. When asked about the preparations of Ramnavmi SP Akhilesh Jha said that during the festival the police force will keep eye on every sensitive spot of the district to maintain peace and harmony.
