The festival of colors ‘Holi’ passed peacefully in Hazaribagh district. Some small incidents of group clashes took place but the alert police administration controlled the situation within time. In Barkattha in two incidents of group clash six persons got injured while in Mashratu 1 is reported to be injured. Minor incidents also took place in Kani Bazaar, Pelawal, Korrah, Boddom Bazaar and other parts of the town but the patrolling team controlled the situation.
This year due to the timing of full moon day some observed Holi on Wednesday and some on Thursday. This division decreased the momentum of the festival. This year MP Yashwant Sinha was at Hazaribagh and along with BJP workers and eminent personalities of the town the mediamen too enjoyed the famous Holi of Ex-FM of the country at his house Rishabh Vatika, Demotand. He and his wife Neelima Sinha danced, sang and enjoyed thandai with the visitors. On Tuesday DC Manish Ranjan spent time with the inmates of old age home.
On peaceful passing of Holi MP Yashwant Sinha, MlA Saurabh Narayan Singh, DC Manish Ranjan, SP Manoj Kaushik and many others have thanked citizens of Hazaribagh and appealed to them to continue this peace in future too.
