The engineers have already withdrawn the money but yet the work has not been started in my area and now the department has sent revised estimate for our approval which is unacceptable. It is a matter of loot of Government fund and conspiracy of the engineers and staffs of the agriculture department which can never be tolerated.

” It was the statement of Hazaribagh District Board members from Barhi and Chauparan blocks Arjun Sao and Sunil Sao after which several members stood in their support and the meeting witnessed an uproar. This type of scene appeared again and again in the meeting of district board chaired by Braj Kishore Jaiswal. Several times the members walked out of the meeting hall to register their protest on the proposal on which discussion was going on.

Parmehswar Mahto, member from Churchu block, raised the issue of illegal allotment of Government land to some people in Charhi block while Devkumar Raj of Daru block queried about illegal wood cutting going on in the forest area. On the issue of revised estimate, secretary of the board DDC Ravindra Prasad Singh finally announced to withdraw the proposals while on other such issues he convinced the members that suitable action will be taken against erring officers and staffs.

After the meeting DDC-cum-Secretary Ravindra Prasad Singh informed that the members approved the proposal of construction of a multi-storeyed building in this campus which will be more spacious. He said, “For this, we will send a proposal of Rs. 5 crore to the State Government. Besides this the board has approved the proposal of construction of some extra shops, PCC road and drain in the bus stand campus with a cost of Rs. 45 lakhs.”

The members here raised matters of illegal liquor in rural areas, non-availability of doctors at PHCs, Mamta Vahan and other health facilities related questions, about the conditions of schools and midday meal in their areas, road, irrigation facility etc. and instructions were given to the representatives of concerned departments to look into these matter and to satisfy the members.
