The Pelawal police of Hazaribag district have seized 500 gram brown sugar from drug peddlers. Police have seized the used car and arrested two suppliers who are involved in the trading of the brown sugar. In the International market the value of the seized items is Rs 50 lakhs.
Hazaribag Superintendent of Police Manoj Rattan Chothey said that the pelawal police got secret information that two persons are carrying brown sugar in a white colour maruti car.
After getting the information a team was formed in the leadership of DySP of rural areas. The team started to search the vehicles on the Hazaribag Chatra road.
As the car saw the police checking on the road they tried to escape from there. The police team chased the car and caught the car half a kilometre from the checking point.
The arrested persons said to the police that they were coming from Giddhor to show the sample of the items. They have also confessed that in this racket so many people are involved, including white collared persons also.
Police have arrested Ravikant Kumar of Giddhor of Chatra district and Rahul Kumar of the resident of Lohsinghna of the Hazaribag town. Police have also seized four mobiles from the arrested persons.
