NUSRl VC Prof BC Nirmal has rebutted the fact he has tendered his resignation as reported in the article “NUSRl heading towards another student agitation!” published in The Pioneer, Ranchi Edition on August 21. Prof Nirmal, through a mail to the newspaper stated that he was very much keen and willing to resume his duty as Vice Chancellor and was eagerly awaiting the direction of the High Court. He further said that following the direction of the High Court he went on leave for one month in order to help the administration to bring an end to the students’ agitation at that time. “I met myself available to resume my duty on 12 May 2017 but since then I have been denied the opportunity to resume my office,” he said.
