Sitting Hatia legislator from AJSU party Navin Jaiswal on Thursday joined the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) in the presence of party supremo Babulal Marandi. Jaiswal was disenchanted with his parent party’s decision to reach an understanding with the BJP and for handing over his sitting seat to the saffron party.
Welcoming him into the party, Marandi said, “Navin Jaiswal is such a leader who could have won on his own and needed no party or banner. But he ignored all the parties and offers coming to him and opted for the JVM. The party is thankful to him for the gesture.”With this, it has also become clear that the party would field him from Hatia which has become a prestige issue for the BJP as well after it fielded its candidate despite having entered into an understanding with the AJSU.
Speaking on the occasion Jaiswal said that his decision to contest from the seat was because his “uncompromised” association with his voters which did not end with elections. “Every one in Hatia wants me to fight the poll. Voters would give a fitting reply for the kind of treatment I have met,” said the emotional looking leader.
