Gumla Police on Saturday night arrested one hardcore People’s liberation Front of India (PlFI) cadre, lakhan Manjhi, from Patel Chowk in Gumla City.
According to police, Manjhi was wanted in several cases of murder, police encounter and other related cases registered at various police stations in Gumla and adjoining areas.
“Acting on a tip-off one PlFI cadre lakhan Manjhi was arrested from Patel Chowk in Gumla town and on the basis of the information gathered from him, two country-made pistols and five live cartridges recovered. Manjhi is wanted in at least four cases. He has also shared some important information which will help us in nabbing other members of the organisation,” said Gumla SP Bhimsen Tuti.
Manjhi was later sent on judicial custody on Sunday.
