Governor Syed Ahmed annulled the appointment of three officials of Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) including finance officer Ajay Kumar, college inspector (Art and Commerce) Naveen Prasad and deputy registrar Anil Kumar Oraon on Monday using the powers of Section 9 (4) Jharkhand Universities Act, 2000.
The Governor has also issued a showcause notice to Vice-Chancellor of VBU as to why did he not discharged his duties in the interest of the University. It is to be noted, these candidates have not fulfilled the parameters mentioned in the advertisement of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) 2010. On the directions of JPSC, VBU constituted a five member committee to enquire details over the recruitment process of these officials.
