The five State universities comprising Ranchi University (RU), Kolhan University (KU), Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU), Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU) and Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) websites were found not updated, by Advisor to Governor K Vijay Kumar on Wednesday at a meeting held with these university Vice Chancellors (VCs).

“It has been noticed that students face difficulties in keeping an online track of their recent marksheets and certificates. The concerned universities have been requested to take prompt action over this deficiency,” said Human Resource Development (HRD) department Secretary Dr DK Tiwari.

“The universities have been asked to complete the research work on the money granted to all them in 2012-13 session. A huge amount of money was granted to the newly framed universities for quality academic environment by the State Government but they have not been able to roll on properly in this finance provided to them,” added Dr Tiwari.

Ninety percent of the non-teaching employees in these universities are availing the benefits according to their pay scale. Only 10 percent are devoid of this provision. Dr Tiwari said, “We have asked the universities to call off this strike since it is serving no purpose.”

State Government also stressed on giving all benefits to the retired employees including sixth pay commission.

Dr Tiwari said, “In this meeting we noticed that the distribution of employees between Ranchi University (RU), Kolhan University (KU) and Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU) has not been done despite emphasizing over this issue in the last two meetings of this year.”

As of now no date has been fixed for the next meeting since the government wants the result of such discussion at the earliest.
