The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that Goods and Services Tax (GST) is the most important taxation reform in the country since Independence as due to this the Indian economy would be winged and the Gross domestic product (GDP) would rise by 2 per cent.
BJP Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in a statement here on Tuesday said, “It is well known that after the passage of GST Bill the Indian economy would be winged and the Gross domestic product would rise by 2 per cent.”
Chouhan further said that the way Rahul Gandhi is stopping this bill against the interest of the nation with the spirit of vengeance reflects his narrow mindset. Gandhi’s claim that the issue could be resolved in just fifteen minutes over the table is height of his arrogance due to that his disrespect towards parliamentary system and democracy also gets confirmed, he added.
He said, “the way Gandhi trounced cabinet decisions during Manmohan Singh tenure for ten years and hurt democracy that he should not dare to consider Narendra Modi a weak Prime Minister. After independence, members of Nehru Gandhi family have shown intolerance towards the works done in the national interest by sachems that is condemnable.”
Whenever, Purshottam Das Tondon tried to make Congress acceptable to all, Jawaharlal Nehru targeted him. And after getting insulted he left the post of party president, he added.
He said that Indira Gandhi forced the party’s candidate for president of country to bite dust and by imposing emergency put great leaders like Morarji Desai and Jai Prakash behind bars. While Sonia Gandhi made the life of Narsimha Rao miserable and he is the only Prime Minister till now who could not even get land for his funeral in the national capital, he added.
