A group of rare vultures was seen in the Hazaribag after a gap of two years. The number of vultures is around 100. The Mumbai Natural History Society has declared the Hazaribag as a safe zone for the promotion and breeding of vultures. This is the reason that the number of vultures has increased in the Hazaribag district.

In the report the society has mentioned that there are so many conditions for declaring it a safe zone. Hazaribag has fulfilled the maximum conditions for the safe zone. This place has been declared as a provisionally safe zone.

The New Human institution has been trying in this field for the last eight years. They are regularly making people aware of saving the lives of vultures. Vice president Murari Singh and member of this institution Satya Prakash said that due to the use of Diclofenac and Ketoprofen medicines is very harmful to the vultures.

They said that they have suggested to the villagers to use the Meloxicam medicine for pain killing which is not harmful to the vultures.

The media representative of sadar MLA, Ranjan Choudhary, has seen more than hundred vultures near the Dhangura river.

He said that the vultures gave only one egg in a year. This is the reason that their breeding is very low. At present only 1,00, 000 vultures are in India. During the last 15 years 99 percent vultures have reduced. They said that out of nine species in India, five are available in Hazaribag.
