The State Government, amid apprehensions expressed over actual realisation of the MoUs lined-up to be inked during the Global Investors' Summit, has clarified that it is ready with all the desired prerequisites for investment in Jharkhand. The roadmap for turning the agreements into reality has been made for both the short and long-term investment proposals coming from corporate houses.

CM Raghubar Das said on Tuesday that people of the State would not be daydreamed this time around. “The MoUs would be signed sector wise during the GIS and we are ready with our plans to execute all those. We would identify the projects that can be brought on ground in 7-8 months, in one and one and half year and so on. We mean business and would let the people know after the Summit. We would not do any MoU for which the State is ridiculed in future,” said Das briefing the media for the final time before the GIS begins this Thursday.

The CM while referring to the fate of the agreements taken place for investment after the State was separated blamed the political instability and policy paralysis for that.

“The intentions of the then Governments were noble but desired outcomes could not be achieved. It was primarily because the political stability was missing from the State and also because there was lack of good policies attracting investors. No one would come in such a scenario. That is why we first and foremost formulated various policies for industry, power, IT, textile, food processing etc. We have started getting encouraging responses and investor friendly environment is building up in the State,” he explained flanked by Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma,
