Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the state government is working to take Jharkhand forward with a better vision. The work of strengthening education, tourism, agriculture and rural economy is going on continuously. In the coming days, work is being done with commitment to provide maximum employment to the people here. Since the formation of the present government, the roots of the possibilities of development are being strengthened, he said in a programme organized by a TV news channel here on Monday.
Soren said that many important changes have been made in the education system of the state. In order to provide quality education to the children of the state, the state government is running excellent schools. A large number of children have shown interest for enrollment in schools of excellence. In this era of inflation, the state government is determined to provide quality education to the children of Jharkhand on the lines of private schools. The CM said that the state government is renovating the hostels of poor children. With a better change, arrangements are being made in the hostels. Now the state government will supply cooks as well as coarse grains to the hostels so that children do not need to bring coarse grains from home. He said that our government is now making the teachers working in the schools only work for the education of the children. Apart from teaching, teachers are not being engaged in any other work.
The CM said that the country gets maximum revenue collection from the mineral wealth of Jharkhand. Still our state is counted in the category of backward states. Despite having sufficient mineral wealth, there is a situation of displacement in the state. In addition to mineral wealth, our government has worked in many such areas on which it is working to increase the means of employment by preparing a better action plan. Apart from mineral resources, the government is making a roadmap of what should be the direction of the state in the field of employment. The possibilities of tourism in the state are limitless. In the coming time, the state government is working on expanding all the sectors of tourism and making it the main means of employment generation. Hotels like Hotel Taj will be built in the state.
Soren said that there has been a lot of speed in government appointments in the last few months. In the coming few days, there will be restoration on 40 to 50 thousand government vacancies in the state. The CM said that now the situation is such that government appointments are being given on such a large scale that pandals have to be made in open grounds to provide appointment letters to the candidates. Apart from government appointments in the state, the state government is also working on other employment generation. Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme has also been launched.
The CM said that our government is continuously working with the resolve to strengthen the farmers and agriculture system in the state. “Now irrigation schemes are being run with new technology for the purpose of providing water to every field. Now the farmers of the state cannot be left on the mercy of God. Our government is working to make the farming community self-dependent. India is an agriculture based country. I am constantly trying to solve the problems of the farmers. In the coming time, MSP will also be implemented on forest produce. There is a lot of potential for forest produce in the state. The Federation has been formed so that the farmers and people living in remote rural areas can take advantage of the forest produce,” he said.
Soren said that our government has implemented Sarvajan Pension Yojana in Jharkhand. The benefit of pension is being given to all the old, elderly, widows, disabled on a fixed date. Our government has also brought back the old pension scheme for government employees here. The CM said that earlier para teachers, Anganwadi workers and other government workers used to stage sit-ins, but our government took proper decisions on their demands while diagnosing all these problems. At present, the sit-in demonstration of government employees is not visible anywhere in the state.
