AJSU Supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto on Thursday said that Jharkhand was created after many sacrifices and agitations by its people. The State Government has made amendments in the CNT-SPT Act and has cleared its domicile policy, which is not acceptable to the party.

“Though we are part of this Government but since these are not acceptable to the people at large so we have started Jan ki Baat agitation and I am sure that the CM and entire Jharkhand Government will certainly take care of it,” he said.

Sudesh was addressing a division level party workers’ conclave of All Jharkhand Students’ Union party took place in Hazaribagh Town Hall on Thursday in which party workers especially students associated with AJSU participated in large numbers from all the districts of North Chotanagpur division.

“last month we had sent more than 5 lakhs postcards gathered from over 5,000 villages of the State to the CM and in second phase we are aiming to collect another 5 lakhs postcards urging reconsideration on domicile policy and amendments in CNT-SPT Act. Jharkhand is for Jharkhandis and the party is pledged to safeguard their interests at any cost. Sooner or later CM will have to listen the voice of Jharkhandis,” he said.

Senior leader Devsharan Bhagat said that the second phase of Jan ki Baat is going to start from Friday and it will conclude on 25th of September. This time our emphasis will be collecting postcards from the students of colleges, universities and other educational institutions of the State. To make it successful the students associated with AJSU will have to play a major role in this phase. Assuring the gathering Bhagat said that the domicile policy and amendments in CNT-SPT Act, which is neither acceptable to the general people of the state nor to the party, will certainly be reconsidered in the days to come.

The InCharge of Hazaribagh Assembly segment Pradeep Prasad said that AJSU is always with the people and this time too the party will successfully send your message to the Government through this Jan ki Baat movement. Criticizing other parties he said that there is solution of every problem but those who are talking about it have no concrete program or idea to solve the problem of domicile policy and amendments in CNT-SPT Act.
