According to the instructions of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, under the aegis of Lohardaga District Congress Committee, a Satyagraha programme was organized in front of the Collectorate on Monday against Agneepath. The sit-in was presided over by the Executive District President Sukhair Bhagat. Local MLA cum Cabinet Minister of Jharkhand Government, Dr. Rameshwar Oraon was present in the Satyagraha programme as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rameshwar Oraon said that the Central government is working to destroy the long standing traditions and ethos of the armed forces through the Agneepath scheme, which will only encourage unemployment by removing the youth from employment.
He said that the youth of the country join the Indian Army with zeal and passion, after nearly 6 years of hard work, with the dream of serving the country. But the plan brought by the Modi government at the Center to recruit youth in the army for only 4 years, will definitely work to break the enthusiasm and spirit of the youth of the country somewhere. He said that the phase of protests is going on in the whole country regarding the Agneepath scheme. But, the Central government is adopting stubbornness. He said that till the Central government does not withdraw the Agneepath scheme imposed on the youth, the Congress party's satyagraha and struggle will continue throughout the country.
On this occasion, district president Sukhair Bhagat, youth leader Rohit Priyadarshi Oraon, Haji Shakeel Ahmed, MLA representative Nishith Jaiswal and many other speakers addressed the programme. On this occasion, mainly Jagdeep Bhagat, Haji Sikander Ansari, Pradeep Vishwakarma, Satyajit Lakra, Mohan Dubey, Prabhat Bhagat, Vinod Singh Kherwar, Shahid Ahmed Belu, State General Secretary of Youth Congress Fahad Khan, Youth Congress President Sanjar Ahmed, Youth Congress's District Vice President Vishal Dungdung, Sagir Ansari, Deepak Mahto, Iqbal Khan, Block President Samul Ansari, Sadrul Ansari, Anish Ahmed, Jameel Ansari and a large number of Congressmen including Vinay Oraon Oraon were present.
