Former CM Raghubar Das has said that the Mukhya Mantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana was launched to enable farmers financially independent sothey do not have to take loans for small things. Since the inception of this scheme, the farmers were greatly relieved. The farmers were getting financial assistance ranging from five thousand to 25 thousand rupees annually. In addition to the purchase of fertilizer, seeds, fertilizers etc, this amount used to compensate for the damage caused to the crop due to hail storm and weather. But the current government stopped the plan, which is directly impacting the economic health of the farmers.
“Due to the loss of crop due to hailstorm, the farmers have been shattered and the incidents of farmer suicides have started. I am requesting the Government that again the Chief Minister Krishi Aashirwad Yojana should be started and funds should be given in the account of farmers so that our foodgrain donors do not have to become a debtor to anyone and they too can live with self-respect,” he said.
Das said that the government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center has also given relief to the farmers under the Prime Minister Kisan Kisan Samman Nidhi. The state government should adopt sensitive attitude towards farmers in this hour of crisis and give them lump sum amount. Das said that the arrears of the present purchase should also be given to the farmers as soon as possible so that they can avoid starvation and indebtedness.
Meanwhile, State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo alleged that the Jharkhand government is negligent about the health of the migrant labourers returning. “On one hand, due to the use of the wrong chemical in the hospital, many workers got boils on the quarantine stamp and the skin also got scorched. On the other hand the workers and patients who returned from Vellore their entire body was sprayed with sanitizer in Hatia station, which is against the norms of the Ministry of Health, Government of India.
The 'sanitizer cabin and tunnel' of the city has such a mixture of soap and chemical that it does not harm any person, but the sanitizer from which people were sprayed at Hatia railway station is completely against the standards of the Union Ministry of Health. Now the Union Health Ministry has also admitted that most of the patients do not show symptoms of corona in the beginning. According to the Central Government's Quarantine Rules, there is a provision to keep workers and citizens returning from outside in the Quarantine Center for 14 days. But the state government is disregarding this guide line and putting the lives of labourers and villagers at stake,” he said.
