The State Government along with SBI on Thursday flagged off two mobile vans for generating awareness about Bharat QR code among the people. The vans would ply on different routes of Ranchi, especially covering commercial areas. IT Department Director UP Shah along with DGM of the bank for Ranchi Circle Devesh Kumar and other senior officials were present on the occasion. The vans would roam till February 3 and encourage general public as well as businessmen to adopt Bharat QR code platform for the sake of cashless transactions. Informing about the code, the DGM said that the mode of cashless transaction is also card-less and has no hustle like loss or destruction of plastic debit or credit cards. The QR code can be downloaded from Google Play and run on an android based smart phone. The code is beneficial for SBI customers in making any financial transaction, he added.
