Ex CM cum JVM Supremo Babulal Marandi on Thursday attacked Government and alleged that it is promoting the sale of illegal liquor. Marandi, who was talking to media persons in Hazaribagh while returning from Koderma also demanded resignation of CM Raghubar Das for the deaths due to illegal liquor in the state.
Marandi said that last two months the government is selling liquor. “The data available from government there is about 75 per cent decline in the sale in comparison to the figures when private owners were running wine shops. On one side the sale of liquor has gone down but the number of consumers is still going up. It clearly speaks that sale is going on in the State and a nexus of government officials, mafias and political masters having patronage of ruling party is making money from this business,” he said.
Talking about the deaths Marandi said that CM Raghubar Das should resign immediately on moral grounds. “A few days ago Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has resigned due to deaths in accidents and PM Modi has accepted his resignation, at that time the party spokesmen has said that it is an example of high moral quality of our leaders and workers. Why not the leaders of Jharkhand are following such quality possessed and claimed by the party after deaths due to illegal liquor,” he added.
