Govt looting land of tribals: Hemant Soren

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday made a scathing attack on BJP government for grabbing land of locals on the behest of big business houses. JMM executive president, Hemant Soren during his fifth and final phase of ‘Sanghrsha Yatra’ on Thursday in Deoghar raised the land issue.

Soren said that there is no one in the State to fight for the cause of poor. “As many as 11, 27, 644 indigenous people of the State who are being disowned from their rights over water, jungle and forests and the present State government is watching it silently. The government has to no right to remain in power which can’t protect rights of people.”

Talking about government’s work process Soren said, “Even after Supreme Court’s snubbing the Advocates of the State government have been submitting half prepared affidavits. After that, the court had to say that ‘It is issue of right of indigenous people and the government should take it seriously’. However, the government has not taken any step in this direction.” While hitting hard on law and order issue, Soren said that the government has created the city as hell. “With the evil intention of corruption and loot the government is spending fund on similar scheme many a times. Law and order situation is in its worst condition as in broad day light the case of murder is taking place in front of Chief Minister’s residence as there was already a police station,” he added.

Lambasting hard on the Central government, Soren said, “At one side the farmers are dying of hunger and poverty in the State and on the other side on the border of the Country their sons’ are also dying and this government is busy only in worshiping of their lords and only doing verbal attack on the enemy of the country instead of war.”
