Demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a CBI inquiry into the alleged ‘Srijan’ fund transfer scam which took place in Bhagalpur, former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief lalu Prasad said that he will see to it that Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi is sent to jail.
Talking to mediapersons after appearing before a Special CBI Court in four different fodder scam cases here on Friday, Prasad also demanded to remove both the Chief Minister as well as the Deputy Chief Minister from their posts as they might influence the investigations.
“I will send Sushil Modi to the Jail….they had been talking about zero tolerance, now tell me where is your zero tolerance,” said Prasad.
There is no doubt in this regard as concrete evidences are coming up in which several IAS and IPS officers are also being entrapped into the scandal, he added.
“Don’t take it lightly… we will take it seriously,” said the RJD chief. This battle will be fought by the RJD and 11 crore people of Bihar so that people of this State could see how the loot of public exchequer was done by Sushil Modi under Kumar’s protection, he added.
“Kumar had been ruling the State with closed eyes and finance rules were violated under the protection of the State Government,” said the RJD chief. He also said that this will not work in the overall interest of Bihar. The person who is currently Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Bihar, has actually worked as Executive Director in the loot, therefore, firstly he must be handcuffed after removing him from his post and then a CBI probe should be done, he added.
Holding Sushil Modi directly responsible for the scam, Prasad said that he did not have faith in the State agencies.
“After reaching Patna, I will meet senior CBI official demanding a CBI probe in the matter,” said Prasad.
