The Government is all set to go for new guidelines for flying drones. ADG RK Mallick during the meeting held in the leadership of Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi on Thursday told all DCs and SPs about three zones marked by the DGCA.

As per the new setup three zones- red, yellow and green- have been marked. Red zones are for VVIP area where no drone would be allowed to operate, while in yellow zones drones weighting 250 grams can fly with the permission of SP and DC. Green zones have been declared free for flying drones.

Anyone violating the guidelines, coming to effect on December 1, can be fined with Rs 1,000 or three months of imprisonment. Techno-friendly officials would be appointed in all districts to work as nodal officers.

The CS also directed to start drought relief work in all the drought affected blocks and to ensure that no one is left without food grain. Rs 10,000 for that has been given already to each panchayat whereas Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned for drinking water.

In another direction the CS directed all the DC to purchase blankets by December to be distributed to the poor persons.

He also told the officials to act against illegal non-banking companies operating in their areas as per the guidelines of the RBI.
