Politics has once again intensified over the payment of Rs 1.36 lakh crore dues from Centre. The matter has heated up after Chief Minister Hemant Soren, on the occasion of the 52nd foundation day of JMM at Jhanda Maidan in Giridih, said that if the state's Rs 1.36 lakh crore dues are not paid by Centre, the mines which are owned by Central agencies will be closed. The Jharkhand Government has set up a committee to assess the state's claim of Rs 1.36 lakh crore coal dues and verify the outstanding in every head.
On Wednesday, MLAs of the ruling party and the opposition, who arrived to participate in the proceedings of the House, kept entangled on this issue.
On this occasion, Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey welcomed the Chief Minister's statement and said that we are demanding our dues. She said that the demand should not be of any government, but of the general public, this is the sentiment expressed by the Chief Minister. She said that coal goes from our state. In such a situation, if we do not get the dues, then along with the legal process, we will also work to close the mines.
On the other hand, Minister Ramdas Soren said that the state government has a right over it. When the central government will not pay our royalty, how will we run the state. Therefore, we have informed the central government several times. Even our finance minister has taken initiative in this direction. Meanwhile, Minister Deepika Singh Pandey said that the central government has been constantly adopting an indifferent attitude towards Jharkhand. She said that along with the money of MNREGA workers, the state government is not getting the money of many central schemes.
Amidst the politics going on regarding the amount due to the Center, BJP MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwari targeted the government and said that after cheating the women and youth, the government is harping on the Centre’s dues of 1.36 lakh crores. He said that the Supreme Court has given a clear direction in this regard, it should be taken care of, but the government's intention is not clear as to what to do. MLA Jairam also gave a statement
Meanwhile, MLA Jairam Mahto said that in this regard, Saryu Roy has asked in the House that in which heads the state government owes the Centre, but the answer has been given in a vague manner. If the government is really concerned about this, then it should bring the opposition along. He said that most of the outstanding amount of Rs 1.36 lakh crore is related to land. The right over which is of the peasants and not the government. Therefore, first it should be clear in which heads the outstanding amount is. Anyway, politics is once again hot regarding the outstanding amount on the Centre.
