Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmad on Wednesday inspected a under construction road in Ranchi and directed the concerned officials to inquire into whether it was being made as per the specifications mentioned in the job order.
The Governor inspected the road following complain filled from a citizen. The road which the Governor inspected connects Ratu road with Kanke Road and is being constructed by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC). The road is right behind the Raj Bhawan
The quality of roads is said to be affected by corruption and the manner of awarding contract to the empanelled agencies has reportedly been under cloud. Quality of the roads is said be very bad.
The officials of the Road Construction Department collected samples of the road moments before Governor and Principal Secretary NN Sinha arrived on the spot this
morning. looking at the condition Governor ordered to prepare a report about this as soon as possible. Refusing to offer his immediate reaction to the
condition of the road, Governor Syed Ahmad said, “Take my reaction after I act on this issue.”
