In major fire broke-out, goods of worth Rs 6 lakh gutted at City Center in Bokaro on Saturday night, police said. Fire broke out in a store room of Meham Tent House.
The stiff struggle of fire brigades and fire fighters, fire got controlled after three hours which destroyed goods, electric wires including others, said Anand Kumar Singh the proprietor of the Tent House.
Notably, a series of devastating blaze during past has raised concerns though all shops as well residential and commercial building at Bokaro-Chas flouting the fire safety norms. Non-installation of fire equipment, congested staircases, narrow entry roads and absence of trained personnel to tackle emergencies are major causes of concern.
