Rail traffic was disrupted for one and half hour on Dhanbad-Gaya route under Dhanbad Railway Division when engine of a goods train derailed at Koderma station on Monday.
The goods train was passing through the up loop line and was on the way from Gomoh Junction to Danapur. Engine No. WAG7 28625 attached with 41 loaded wagons derailed around 11.45 am disrupting operation of trains on up-line as the wagons obstructed the both up main and loop lines. An accident relief van from Gomoh Junction reached koderma and cleared the line.
According to an official Howrah-Jodhpur Express was detained at Sharmatand station while Sealdah-Ajmer express and Asansol-Varanasi Passenger trains were detatined at Hirodih and Choubey Stations respectively. No one was reported to be injured.
