To build the confidence among the villagers of Peterwar block under Gomia Assembly constituency, Gomia MlA Yogendra Prasad of JMM and other local body members including Radha Mohan Soren, Manoj Kumar Gupta, lalita Soren, Block development officer Rajani Rejina Indubar, CO Vijay Singh Virua organised Janta Darbar at Peterwar block premises on Wednesday.
More than 500 villagers including men, women, assembled in the block office premises. The meeting has been described as successful. Gomia MlAs Yogendra Mahto said more than 500 villagers including men and women turned up in large numbers and interacted with their local representatives including MlA, Zila parshad, Mukhia, and block officials. Their problems were focussed, some of which were redressed on the spot and some will be solved after proper scrutiny.
While addressing the people at Peterwar in morning, JMM MlA Yogendra Prasad criticised the working culture of the Peterwar block office. He said corruption at the block office was rampant. The MlA, in his address, said that BDO and CO will take all steps to solve the local problems including Birdha pension, social pension, Indira Awas, Caste and Income certificates on the spot and gave them his contact number so that they can contact him directly for quick redressal of the grievances. The MlA thanked the villagers for their turn out in the janta darbaar.
