Your pride in being the posh that you are and flaunt the walk in ambry in your new penthouse.
You don't miniscule yourself , rather rise in elation when you know there are higher rungs to fashion...and that is about God !
So Meera Khemka and Varsha Khemka-her daughter in law are about today.
Varsha , much fame to her name among the voguesters of the city as she runs a fashion house in her own apartment, Bariatu road.
When she invited me some 2 years back , I knew I am going to bring this out on my pen some day and you see it in the picture there !
A little brief for the ones who are oblivious ! The most venerated ,cherubic God idolised in his infancy Sri Laddu Gopal ji . Every house He resides , we pamper Him with all that He has given us , all that we have given ourselves. The futon , headgear , jewellery , toys , winterwear , comforter... and the Tulsi Bhoj daubed in fresh butter from Cow's milk cream !
But Meera and Varsha have brought it to another platform...clearly beyond ones stretch of imagination. So , it began with the woodwork while they were setting up their home. When Meera wished to put Laddu ji's stuff in happy order. They tried doing hangers with metal wires which didn't come out as deft. So, why not do a miniature woodden peg.
A chiffonier with neat chambers in one of which I saw Laddu ji's Bahubali themed jewellery. O Golly !
So, there are these neatly hung poshaks on those cute clamps and every piece is unique. From zardosi to buti, dabka , kheen khwab and mulmul for easy evenings.
Besides what Varsha gets customised in her own boutique, Laddu ji's wardrobe narrates Meera's frequent visits to Vrindavan. His matching tippet leaves you in awe. There is this unexplainable feeling of serenity and joy when you sit in this temple...or home. I couldn't take my eyes and mind off this setup.
That silver wand and peacock feather turban
Capes and shrugs...buttoned and laced
The closet...all bling and rainbow
I join my hands as I am amazed.
