The Government officials and staff attached with the functioning of Education department should be more attentive and alert nowadays to provide quality education to the students of Government schools as today education has become commercialised and in the era of competition only quality education can help the poor students to sustain and survive.

Commissioner Surendra Singh Meena discussed the issue in the review meeting of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, +2 High Schools, Secondary Education Project, Mid-Day Meal etc.

The review meeting took place in the commissionary meeting hall on Thursday in which related officials and staffs of all the seven districts of the division were present along with Regional Deputy Director Mohan Chand Mukim. Commissioner directed all the BEOs to make regular visits of the schools of their area and to assess the requirements for improvement of quality and the problems of the school so that plans can be made accordingly. He also gave several other directions to the officials.

In the review meeting Commissioner Meena became annoyed when he came to know that buildings of many Kasturba Schools are yet not complete and kitchen shades in most of the schools of Topchanchi block of Dhanbad district are yet not built. Taking it seriously Meena made some hard comments and gave strong directions to the concerned officials.

Commissioner stressed upon the implementation of Right to Education Act in the division. He said that getting primary education is now a right of every child of 6-14 year age group and it is the duty of government officials that they should not remain deprived of their right due to ignorance or any other cause.
